La Jaira de Ana is a family project born in 2002 that began to take shape several years later (2018) to accommodate a new agro livestock entrepreneurial project. Its main objective is to offer a space in a rural environment that highlights the importance of the primary sector for Canarian culture and society through participatory experiences and environmental workshops, as well as adding value to local products through tastings, samplings, and sales.
This initial idea has gradually developed into what is now known as “La Jaira de Ana,” a very special farm school where we have meticulously attended to every detail to create a unique alternative.
A place of learning where both adults and children can enjoy contact with nature in an environment where animals live freely, happily, and free from exploitation.

My name is Anabel Calderín Castro, and I am at the helm of La Jaira de Ana. You could say I am a “country girl” as I have been fortunate enough to grow up surrounded by nature and animals. My father comes from a family of shepherds, so I have always been connected to the rural world in one way or another.
This project is actually thanks to my mother, an entrepreneurial woman with a vision for the future. She initiated all the necessary processes, and together with my father’s hard work, they made this dream a reality.
As a social worker, I believe in a collaborative and cyclical economy based on responsibility, humility, and respect for nature.
La Jaira de Ana is my small contribution to society, where I aim to highlight the importance of environmental care, ecological culture, and sustainability. I want to teach the world that nature is our raison d’être and that we are all part of the same cycle, which we must protect and nurture.

We offer a wide range of experiences, events, and products made on our farm. Don’t miss out!
