Our story, our LEGACY

La Jaira de Ana is a family project that was born in 2002, and it began to take shape several years later in 2018 to accommodate a new agricultural and livestock entrepreneurial project. Its main objective is to offer a space in a rural environment that highlights the importance of the primary sector for Canary culture and society through participatory experiences and environmental workshops. Additionally, it aims to add value to local products through tastings, tastings, and product sales

This initial idea is taking shape to give rise to what is now known as 'La Jaira de Ana,' a very special farm school, where we have taken care of every last detail to create a unique alternative

A place of learning where both young and old can enjoy contact with nature, in an environment where animals live freely, happy, and free from exploitation.

My name is Anabel Calderín Castro, and I am at the helm of La Jaira de Ana. You could say I'm a 'country girl' because I've been fortunate to grow up surrounded by nature and animals. My father comes from a family of shepherds, so I've always been connected to the rural world in one way or another.

This project actually came to life thanks to my mother, an entrepreneurial woman with a vision for the future. She initiated all the necessary procedures, and with the help of my father, they turned this dream into a reality.

As a social worker, I believe in collaborative and cyclical economics, based on responsibility, humility, and respect for nature.

La Jaira de Ana is my small contribution to society, where I aim to promote environmental care, ecological culture, and sustainability. I want to teach the world that nature is our reason for being, and we all play a part in the same cycle that we must protect and care for
